As new members of the Cold Spring community, we’d like introduce ourselves by sharing our own rescue dog story. We decided to adopt a dog from a shelter in Connecticut 18 years ago. Hayes was a black lab mix rescued from Tennessee. They shared that he had been treated badly there and was very timid around people. They carried out this shy puppy, placed him in our lap and it was a done deal. Since he still required some veterinary care, it would be two weeks before we could bring him home....
